Tuesday May 14th

Today I heard from my host-mom!! She lives with her 12 year old daughter and their cat named Paula and she lives right by CAVILAM where I will be going to school. I feel sooo much better now and extremely relieved. Now I know that her e-mail works so I will be able to send her my flight and train information. Woohoo! :)

17 days until I leave! I have some new clothes to bring but I don't want to pack too much because I'm sure I'm going to buy way too many clothes over there...typical.

À bientôt !

First Post

Hello! I'm Jenny and on May 31 I will begin my travels to Vichy, France! I'm a little nervous but I think it will be fun. I received the name and e-mail address for my host-mom and sent her an e-mail on April 29 but she hasn't answered yet!! I'm scared because I want to get in touch with her before I leave because she has to pick me up from the airport when I arrive! I have to give her my flight information, train information etc. I hope she will respond soon so I will feel more comfortable about flying to a strange new place.

I will be studying at CAVILAM, a French immersion school for the whole month of June, 2013. I will be staying with a host family and all I know is her name is Madame Deschatre and she has an 11 year old daughter and a cat. At least I hope she still has the cat..I'm pretty excited because Vichy is where the French Regime was housed during WWII so it should be a pretty cool town. I haven't started packing or anything yet..I should probably get on that. For the moment, I'm just trying to spend as much time as possible with friends and my boyfriend before I leave them for a month. I'll get to spend time with my family the week before I leave so that's good.

I really, really hope I hear back from my host-mom..or at least figure out another way to contact her.

Tata for now!
